Our culture downplays the importance of the breakfast meal, yet this breaking of the nightly fast is the starting second key block of your and your child's body and mind's functional ability for the day. (The first key was a good night's sleep.) Do you get in your car and expect it to run without water, gas and oil in the proper amounts and proper containers? Of course not. Likewise don't expect yourself or your child to function without proper nutrition first thing in the morning.
